ALABC member Ausenco awarded Project Scoping Study Contract in Brazil

Meteoric Resources NL is pleased to announce that Ausenco Services Pty Ltd has been awarded the Engineering Scoping Study package being undertaken on its 100%-owned Caldeira Rare Earth Ionic Clay Project, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Meteoric has engaged highly respected engineering group Ausenco, a multi-discipline Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management consulting group to undertake a Scoping Study on its flagship Caldeira Rare Earths Project to a Class 5 Engineering cost estimate standard.

Global company to invest in green hydrogen in Brazil

Australia headquartered company Fortescue announced it will invest USD 5 billion to establish a renewable power plant in Brazilian state Ceará.

The project has the potential to produce 837 tonnes of green hydrogen a day, using 2,100 MW of renewable energy. According to information from the federal government, the initiative is estimated to create some 5,000 jobs in the construction stage.

In October, the State Environmental Council (COEMA) of Ceará approved the environmental impact assessment submitted by Fortescue to establish the green hydrogen plant and authorised the State Superintendency of the Environment of Ceará to issue a preliminary licence.
